Probing questions help us to reframe our priorities.  Knowing our priorities is the first important step toward setting goals for change.  And when one is truly ready for change, it is so much easier to reach those goals with the consistent support and encouragement of a coach.  Your Embodi Health and Wellness coach holds you accountable, catches you when you fall, and strategizes with you to play a bigger game in life.

Susan’s earlier work in a medical hospital as a body-mind
psychotherapist, and now as an independent practitioner of
massage therapy and bodywork, has informed in her a deep sense
of understanding the persistent struggles with healthy living that
clients and patients experience.  But there is also an incredible
potential within us that can be tapped! 

We know that medical and wellness-related advice can only go
so far when it is not acted upon, but many of us just don’t know
how to jump-start the change. It is the inablilty to simply get started
on that good advice, or to sustain our good intentions, that throw us off the path of healthy living. That  conundrum, in a nutshell, is what Embodi Health and Wellness Coaching is designed to address.  Sometimes it doesn’t take long at all to integrate healthier habits, and the payoff for one’s efforts is positively life-changing!

Whether one’s needs fall in the range of those in good-wanting-best health or those with chronic or acute health conditions, support in the form of an accessible coach can tip the scales to allow for a greater sense of wellbeing for anyone.  For a healthy person, coaching may take the form of incremental additions of healthier habits, consistently tweaked and upgraded as each success occurs.  For those living in a high-stress, chronic or acute  illness situation, coaching is often focused on a fluid sense of adaptive balance as factors shift and change over the months, with success being defined differently as awareness grows and realities change.

Embodi Health and Wellness Coaching was born of the desire to assist and facilitate individual growth and potential to live a vibrant, juicy, strong, and healthy lifestyle—effortlessly and fluidly.  By connecting to our ‘big picture’ goals, we learn to make responsible decisions to strengthen good habits on an everyday basis.  Susan holds coaching clients accountable for their health plan goals, while helping them to assured success through attainable strategic baby-steps.

Who Hires a Health and Wellness Coach?
Health and Wellness coaching is helpful for both short- and long-term focused issues, especially those related to bodymind  health habits, body image, and the wish to feel great on all levels. Because we are human, because we lose our way sometimes with habits that are fundamental to our health, we all need help along the road.  Any of us who have attended a High School Reunion can see how various lifestyle choices begin to affect one’s overall appearance and health.  Making a conscious choice about how one ages is one of the most important responsibilities in life.


How Do I Know If I Need Health and Wellness Coaching?
You are welcome to schedule a free introductory phone session during which we can use an assessment tool to determine your need.  The vast majority of us are longing to feel better.  


How Does Health Coaching Work?
When you enter into a coaching relationship, your coach becomes your advocate and ally, as well as the person who holds you accountable to your goals. Most coaching is done via telephone with email support as needed.  Structure can vary from two to four phone meetings per month.  You will decide, based on our coaching conversations, what ‘homework’ or goal accountability makes a logical next step, and, in turn, you will become responsible for working toward that step between our calls.  A minimum of three to six months commitment gives you the advantage of seeing your goals through the typical early self-sabotage or waning-confidence stages, while you adjust to new routines.

What are the Offerings?

Embodi Private Coaching
One-to-one private sessions, generally conducted by telephone, where we will explore and address your objectives in the most effective manner.  If you are motivated to change your life, this is a great place to begin.  Monthly fees vary depending on how many sessions per month are purchased.  Fees range from $60.00 to $300.00 per month.  Some scholarship is available for special circumstances.  Call or email to discuss.

Personal Best: Now or Never
This nine-month program for women combines two coaching sessions per month via telephone with one massage therapy or private yoga session per month. In the program, participants ask themselves, “What is it I really must do with my life and what is holding me back?”  We look at how to live fully in the chaos of life, and how to live in the present in a way that you can look back at later without regrets.  Fears and excuses are faced and moved through, helping you open to effortless joy in living your personal best, whatever that means to you. In our private sessions, we will check in with your progress and raise the bar higher toward your goals with each successful 'win'.

This offering comes with a workbook and journal to deepen and guide your experience in unknown territory.  With this program you will make changes you never thought possible, enhancing your overall health and balance, and your ability to sustain inertia through the inevitable obstacles that are part of living a life.


How Much Joy Can You Stand?
Organized as a one-day or half-day workshop, this material is packed with gems for exploring creative approaches to making your dreams come true.  By facing your fears head-on you create inner space to free up energy for greatness.  Fees $79.00 for half-day and $129.00 for full-day workshops.  Special rates for large groups.
